When it comes to Easter cross-stitch patterns, it’s easy to find cute bunnies, pastel eggs, and spring flowers.
But what if you’re looking for something a little more meaningful—something that reflects the deeper message of the season?
Religious Easter cross stitch patterns are much harder to come by, but I’ve managed to find a few beautiful designs that honor the spiritual side of Easter.
As someone who loves celebrating Easter with needle and thread, I’ve often found myself searching for patterns that reflect the heart of the season.

While I enjoy stitching springtime scenes, I always try to include at least one piece that focuses on the resurrection and the message of hope it brings.
And I’m discovering the older I get, the more it brings joy to my heart to stitch something that focuses on what is truth to me—a quiet, lasting reminder of the love of the Father, the grace of the Son, and the presence of the Holy Spirit.
If you’re looking to stitch something that celebrates your faith, I think you’ll love what I’ve discovered.
Designs to Celebrate the Resurrection
First, I want to share a few beautiful patterns I’ve found that aren’t free. I’m not an affiliate for any of these sites—I just genuinely think these designs are worth a look. Each one captures the spirit of Easter in a thoughtful and faith-filled way, and I hope one of them might speak to your heart the way they did to mine.

Plum Street Samplers – Rejoice
This is one of my favorite finds—and to discover it was free made it even more special. Rejoice by Paulette Stewart of Plum Street Samplers is a beautiful design inspired by the beloved hymn He Lives. If this hymn is close to your heart, as it is to mine, you’ll find this pattern both meaningful and full of joy.

The lyrics that inspired the piece come from the third verse and chorus of the hymn:
“Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian! Lift up your voice and sing
Eternal hallelujahs to Jesus Christ, the King!
The Hope of all who seek Him, the Help of all who find
None other is so loving, so good and kind.
He lives! He lives! Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me
Along life’s narrow way
He lives! He lives! Salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart.”
This pattern is a true gift to the stitching community, and it’s one I had so much fun stitching.

A Personal Favorite
One pattern I haven’t been able to find available online anymore is for a piece I stitched many years ago—and it still holds a special place in my heart. It was the first time I stitched on evenweave fabric instead of Aida, and I remember feeling both nervous and excited about the change.

The pattern comes from The Cricket Collection #71 by Cross Eyed Cricket. It remains one of my favorite pieces I’ve ever stitched. I really do need to get it properly framed and up on the wall—so I can enjoy it every day, not just when I happen to flip through my finished pieces.
A Final Thought for Easter Stitching
I know how busy life can get, especially around the holidays. But I encourage you to carve out a little time to pick up your needle and stitch one of these Easter patterns. Cross stitching is such a peaceful, restorative hobby—and when you’re working on something that reflects your faith, it becomes even more meaningful. There’s something truly special about creating a piece that not only brings beauty to your home, but also speaks to the heart of what Easter means.
