About Me

Hi, I’m Cindi!

Crafting and gardening have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.

My journey into the handmade world started early—designing and sewing clothes for my Barbie dolls as a child. That creative spark never faded, and over the years, I’ve explored many forms of needle arts, from cross-stitching and quilting to embroidery and sewing.

Gardening is another passion that has shaped my life. I love the feeling of tending to plants, watching them grow, and knowing that something I nurtured with my own hands can provide beauty, nourishment, and joy.

Living in Florida, particularly in zone 10A, has presented unique gardening challenges, but I’ve learned how to adapt and thrive in this climate.

Beyond crafting and gardening, I’ve always found joy in cooking from scratch. My family has been the happy recipients of my forays into baking, especially when it comes to cookies and cakes. There’s something special about creating meals and treats with simple, wholesome ingredients—just like there’s magic in stitching a piece by hand or growing a flower from seed.

Over the years, I’ve embraced a lifestyle that values creativity, self-sufficiency, and the beauty of handmade living. Whether it’s quilting a new project, growing herbs for the kitchen, or finding ways to create a cozy and welcoming home, I believe in the power of making things with intention and heart.

That’s what Thimble & Tansy is all about—a place where needle arts and gardening meet, where handmade is celebrated, and where we embrace the simple joys of crafting, cooking, and growing.I’m so glad you’re here. Let’s create something beautiful together!
